Our Story

How it all began...

I have always had a vision of creating my very own coffee blend, it was always something that I dreamed of doing but there never seemed like a good time to take that leap, & indeed there was never any spare time.

Lockdown 2020 gave me the opportunity to make that dream a reality.

I worked alongside John Farrer & Co Kendal Ltd to create a blend that is vibrant, unique & truly luxurious. I took inspiration from South America, Vietnam & Guatemala to create something truly incredible. It’s Dark chocolate flavors alongside rich hazelnut top notes & hints of dark fruits, make this a really unique & special coffee.

Aysel Gunar once said, "Dare to dream big dreams. Believe that you can do great things. Keep going until you achieve. If you can imagine it, you can feel it, if you just believe it, you can do it. Dream bigger, believe with all your heart, face your fears, achieve your dreams".

What happened next...?

The 12th September was the day that I officially started to share my delicious Kele Beans coffee on the go to the general public using my gorgeous Teardrop Caravan, Betsy!

I trade at weekends along the Nidderdale Greenway, (AKA Bilton cycle path), on both Saturdays & Sundays & feature at Knaresborough Market days every Wednesday, serving Kele Beans coffee, luxury hot chocolates, homemade treats, sweetie cones & a selection of soft drinks.

My Winter trading times at Bilton Lane are from 8:30am - 1pm & in the Spring/Summer from 8:30-3/4pm (dependent on weather & footfall) & market days are usually from 8:15am - 3pm. If you are out walking over the weekend along the greenway or in Knaresborough, commuting to work or passing & fancy a piece of luxury, you're more than welcome to come along say hi & taste my amazing coffee.

If you have instagram or Facebook account, give Kele Beans a follow, this way you can stay up to date with our opening times, as quite often we might be away doing an event & so wont be trading as usual, or we might get called off due to bad weather. By following my social media pages, you can also stay up to date with all the Kele Beans news too including new products & offers!

If you bring your own reusable cup, you'll not only be helping to save the environment but will receive a small discount off your coffee too! I am currently looking into designing my own Kele Beans re-useable cup so watch this space for when that becomes available!

The support so far has been overwhelming from both local businesses & the public. It's a proud moment seeing people drinking my blend at weekends but also drinking it at home too & loving it as much as I do.

Some of you might have also seen that a few local businesses are also selling my coffee including Leathley Farm Shop & Cafe (Harrogate Rd, Otley), Oakdale Golf Club in Harrogate, The Balcony Sports Bar on St Georges Rd & Roots & Fruits in Bilton, so be sure to give them a visit! I hope to feature in a few more establishments very soon, so if you are a local business & want to stock or serve Kele Beans then please get in touch to discuss further.

I just want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you, to each & every one of you for supporting me & my coffee so far in my journey, I am overwhelmed & would not be here now & growing if it weren't for you, my customers...... Thank you!

Why Choose Kele Beans?

My coffee is freshly roasted to order, which ensures you can enjoy the Kele Beans experience every single time, whether you buy it online, direct from my coffee van, or in a shop.

Kele Beans has many core values, equality & sustainability are at the very heart of my business. From the bio-degradable & compostable cups we use, to the fully recyclable packaging for all of my products. Kele Beans also donates all the coffee grounds, to local allotments, to put back into the earth to then go on to create great fruits, vegetable & flowers.

Kele Beans is made from beans that are all ethically sourced, which means that farmers are paid fairly for the coffee they produce.  In turn this means that farmers are given enough to invest in their farms & continue to produce better quality coffee, rather than the alternative of producing larger quantities of lower quality coffee. I believe it is my responsibility as a business owner, to play my part in helping save the planet & protect those in third world countries.

Kele Beans already has a green certification of sustainability and is working hard to become carbon net zero. The green certification is reserved only for the highest achievers in environmental sustainability, & for organisations who are on their way to being gross zero. Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do & are always looking at ways to do our bit for the wider world, & the legacy we leave behind.

Our Testimonial

At Kele Beans we love our customers & they love our coffee & the service we provide. We would welcome the opportunity to work alongside you in helping to serve the coffee of dreams.
